Red-crested Crane Habitat

Support for the Red-Crested Crane exhibit was donated in memory of Dr. Thad White by his family. His daughter, Mimi Balderson is a founding member of the Sunset Zoo Trust. Red-crested cranes are a large, colorful bird native to east Asia. They are among the most endangered cranes in the world. The original habitat at Sunset Zoo was updated in 2025 with a new shelter for the birds.
